6 Ways To Make Your Guest Room More Comfortable This Festive Season

The festive season is here and we all know what it means. A house filled with warmth, laughter and joy. It is evident that someone or the other might be visiting you for the festivities, and in this blog, we will talk about how to make them feel more welcome into your homes with the right guest room decor. So, let’s get started!

Invest In Their Rest

A good bed means a good night’s sleep which results in a happy and uplifting mood throughout the day. If you don’t use your guest bedroom often, then you don’t have to buy a bed per se but you can rent out furniture. To top the bed off you also need a comfortable mattress, but don’t worry you can get that too on rent, in mint condition with keeping hygiene in mind from websites like Bhadepay. You can also add fluffy cushions, clean bedsheets and fluffy pillows to accentuate luxuriant comfort.

Always Keep An Extra Set Of Linens

It is always a good idea to keep an extra set of linens like bedsheets, blankets, towels and napkins for the guests. They might feel shy or hesitant in asking for the same, so it is better to anticipate their needs and provide them with a seamless experience which really makes them feel at home.

Make A Small Basket Of Necessities

This might sound a little over the top, but everyone likes a small personalized basket, especially if it is filled with all the necessities like toiletries. Or if you don’t want to do things over the top, then you can just place or refill the toiletries in the guest or common washroom.

Refresh The Towels

Always keep the towels for your guests on an empty chair or on the foot of the bed. You can give one hand towel, one napkin towel and one bath towel per guest. If they are staying for a few nights then change the towels with new fresh ones once in two days.

Make Space For The Suitcase

Place an empty table or empty chair in your guest room where they can comfortably place their suitcase. You need to understand that no one likes to open their suitcase on the floor and neither placing the suitcase on the bed is a hygienic alternative. If you have someone old visiting then you should probably think about renting a small table so they don’t have to struggle with their belongings.

Give Them Wardrobe Space

Now, we get it that your wardrobe might be overfilled with your own belongings and so must be your extra room or a.k.a guest bedroom’s wardrobe. This shouldn’t be a problem if your guests are staying just one night or a maximum of two, but we would suggest you get an additional wardrobe for short term if your guest is going to stay with you long term.

Conclusion

In Indian culture, we tend to honor our guests, and therefore it is important that no matter who the guest is, they feel welcomed at your home. You don’t have to spend an arm or leg to make them feel welcomed, just be your authentic self and if your guest room needs any upgrades big or small then it is always better to opt for rental furniture than to buy something for a short period of time.
